To start the season off, it is probably a good idea to refresh everyone’s memory of the Assigners 10 Commandments
- Thou shalt not contact the Assigner with scheduling problems at the last minute, unless it is a dire emergency.
- Thou shalt not ever fail to show-up for an assignment.
- Thou shalt be certain to check your e-mail inbox on a daily basis and that the Assigner has your correct e-mail address.
- Thou shalt accept assignments graciously, no matter what the mileage distance or game fee.
- Thou shalt not brown-nose the Assigner.
- Thou shalt confirm all assignments with the home school in advance of game day.
- Thou shalt reply to all correspondence from the Assigner on a timely basis.
- Thou shalt keep accurate records of your officiating assignment schedule.
- Thou shalt be certain to arrive at schools in sufficient time to be prepared to officiate the contest at the designated starting time.
- Thou shalt recognize the importance of each contest to coaches and players and officiate accordingly.
