GCBOA Inc. educates, trains, certifies and provides continuing education for OHSAA basketball referees for high school, junior high and elementary basketball
Since it was founded, GCBOA Inc. has been an association rich of highly talented basketball officials. We serve the needs of recreational children games where we help teach the kids about the rules of the game and how to play safely all the way to serving our communities and their high schools build the character of their student-athletes in community-spirited matches.
Some individuals stand out in GCBOA Inc., and two awards have been set aside to recognize those individuals.

Tom Ballaban Outstanding Official– The Ballaban award recognizes an outstanding official who exemplifies the highest level of basektball officiating excellence.

Cliff Franklin “Outstanding Contributor” Award– The Franklin award recognizes a member of the GCBOA who contributes time and effort to enhance the betterment of our organization and basketball.

Since it’s inception in 1998, GCBOA Inc. has been blessed with quality men and women officials that make up the membership.
