History

Since it was founded, GCBOA has been an association rich of highly talented basketball officials, serving the needs of High School, Collegiate, and Professional basketball associations. Some individuals stand out in GCBOA, and two awards have been set aside to recognize those individuals.

AWARDS

Tom Ballaban Outstanding Official- The Ballaban award recognizes an outstanding official who exemplifies the highest level of basektball officiating excellence.

Cliff Franklin “Outstanding Contributor” Award- The Franklin award recognizes a member of the GCBOA who contributes time and effort to enhance the betterment of our organization and basketball.

The success of GCBOA has a lot to do with those who have done their time as the leader of the association. Since it’s inception in 1998, GCBOA has been blessed with quality men and women officials that make up the membership. Some of those members stepped into the role of President of GCBOA and helped it grow to the successful association that it is today.
